FRANK DEAN
I'm completely crazy about guitars. I've studied them since I was a small child. I've researched about every make and model ever built and find something interesting about each of them. But here's some of my personal favorites I've written and performed with over the years.

This is my old 1968 Martin D-28 that I've had forever. I'd be lost without it.
My 67 Gibson J-45 in Factory Black. Only made a handful of these.
My #1 Electric Guitar. Fender Telecaster made from parts. I use it every night. My buddy Marty Stuart signed it for me.
My "Rock & Roll" Telecaster w/ Barden pickups. My #1 musical idol Stephen Stills signed it for me.
My Fender Stratocaster. Another "Assembled from parts" guitar.
Recording guitars for the "And back again" CD L to R 1961 Gibson J-50, National Duolian, Martin D-42, Gibson J-200, Martin HD -28
The "Autograph" Gibson.
However, I never cared much for Gretsch's .
____THE GUITAR. First of all, it's the the most user friendly of all instruments. it has a range comparable to the human voice. It's the most romantic also. it has a body, a neck, a head, and a voice. You cradle it in your arms. You hold it close to you. And with even minor effort you can learn to play many songs easily for your own enjoyment. And that enjoyment will last all your life in most cases. When your fingers touch the strings it produces the sound of your mood and emotion. In my opinion it's the greatest musical instrument of all time. You can sing while playing it. It's easily moved and carried to share with someone else. ____________________

My friend Dr. Alex Fondak had this made for me. it's an amazing guitar that too beautiful to take to the gigs.
My 1953 Gibson J-200. I absolutely loved this guitar but I couldn't keep it together. It was SO light that it kept splitting.
